I honestly think this was due to a lot of things: the coach, the missing Neymar and Thiago Silva, mentality throughout the game, only changing two players during the break, missed goals, disorganization, etc., etc., I am still in a bit of a shock and I believe this will be memory to last forever!
I would be lying if I said that I didn't want Brazil to lose at a certain point: when they were playing dirty and aggressive but more than anything I wanted Germany to kick either Holland's butt and (not as much) Argentina's butt but only because some of their fans.
Positive things about Brazil's Loss? Well no matter how bad I feel for some of their fans and the football players I can't help but say there were some mouths shut and the people who tend to get on my nerves sure saw their hypocrisy peeking through.
I find that a lot of them do happen to be (a minority) of some American people and that they were the same people who hate "soccer" it's my personal experience with these people. They are also the same people who like to follow whatever is popular to the rest of the world! It's really annoying! People might say "it's called the World Cup for a reason" or "I didn't know supporting your country is bandwagoning" and the famous "Football is for everyone" I find it funny because a lot of people here hate "soccer" more than anything I guess you could even say it's patriotic to love American football and hate soccer but, it's the USA so of course when something is big Worldwide these specific people in real life don't fail to miss out! It's Pathetic and slightly uncomfortable; so, support your country but don't be a hypocrite then jump on bandwagons of countries that you make fun of and criticize in the USA! (I think I will post on why I have trouble rooting on the USA as a proud American). More than anything the way countries celebrate their countries' wins or how they take a lose is something that a lot of other countries do NOT get because of the cultural differences! There is nothing wrong with cheering for another country but it's wrong when you leave your own country behind or you talk down other countries and have an unsupportable arrogance and the next second you are a hypocrite.
(Not to mention today after Brazil's defeat 7-1 I see stupid comments on twitter saying "Since the USA lost 2-1 to Germany then that means USA>Brazil", it's funny they lost 1-0 not 2-1 and if were going by this system then, since Mexico beat 5-0 the USA then that means Mexico>USA>Brazil). No seriously you've got to be kidding me.
So YES to me it's a joke when these types of people who can't take their time to understand and respect other cultures in real life or the people who don't understand how football actually works, that they jump from team to team, and only follow what's popular! I know because I have a pathetic relative who is like this! She follows Neymar and Ronaldo but she has no pride in her own Culture and lacks knowledge regarding this sport!
It's Annoying. Not only annoying but it makes them look (her) stupid which is the funny part! I think there is a right way to cheer on a team and to have your patriotic pride to an extent and there is also an ignorant, annoying, hypocrite, and ridiculous way to cheer for teams when you don't have respect and lack of knowledge towards other teams or for the sport itself.
I root for my country but I do like the Brazilian team and most of all I miss Ronaldinho!
